Frequently Asked Questions.

Where is your studio located? The studio is located at 264 Hwy 19 S, Suite 3, Bryson City, North Carolina.

What do I get with my session?  Your session fee is a one time payment that covers your session time with me.  Finished images are delivered in an online gallery, in which you can download the images for free, in High resolution format or low resolution format.  You can also order prints and products directly from your gallery.

What if I don’t have internet access?  If you don’t have access to the internet, once your gallery is complete, you can come by the studio with a usb flash drive, and I can transfer all your images to it.

What do I bring to the session? You will be provided a session guide to help prepare you for your session.  Briefly, with newborn sessions, you just bring baby.  For baby/child sessions, you bring the outfits, I’ve got the props and backgrounds.

Do you shoot weddings or special events? I do not currently shoot special events.  I do take a very small amount of weddings, so please reserve as early as possible to ensure availability.

What is the best age to photograph a newborn? I recommend the time between 5-13 days of age, up to 2 weeks of age.  After that 2 week mark, babies are less likely to scrunch up for the sweet poses we love to capture or stay asleep while being posed.

When should I book my Newborn session? It’s best to start the booking process BEFORE baby arrives.  We can start planning your session as early as when you find out your due date, at least 1-2 months before your due date.  There is a non-refundable deposit required to be added to my Mommy-to-Be calendar.  When baby arrives, we will schedule the actual session.

What if I missed the 2 week window?  Some babies can still do newborn sessions successfully, up to 3 weeks of age, so please contact me to see if she has any availability.  I also offer a Mini Wrap session that can work for babies up to 5 weeks of age.

When should I book my Belly session? Belly sessions are done between 32-36 weeks.  It’s best to start planning your belly session a month or so ahead.

How does a session work? Before the session even starts, we will work to get an idea of any goals you have, colors you prefer, etc.  Once you arrive, I will pull backgrounds that compliment your outfits.  We will shoot different poses as time allows.  I don’t set a specific amount of poses.  During the session, I work with you at a relaxed pace, coming up with ideas as the session unfolds.  Not everyone is the same, so each session is customized to what works for you.  I will shoot several shots, then narrow down the best images for your gallery, weeding out eye blinks and unflattering poses.  You can expect your finished images within 2-3 weeks from your session.  This will vary during busy holiday seasons.

When do I get my images?  This can vary, depending on the studio schedule and the time of year(fall, holidays, etc).  Typical delivery turnaround is 2-3 weeks from your session.  I will be happy to give you a more specific time frame by letting you know what order your session is in my edit queue, so feel free to ask!

What type of payments do you accept?  Cash, CC/Debit and Check are acceptable forms of payment.  There is a 3% service fee applied to cc/debit card transactions.

Do you offer payment plans? Yes!  Click the Square installment link below for more info on how to pay over time.
